While he happily passed the reigns of the hit sci-fi series to other creatives following that successful run, the news of his return has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response.  Davies will oversee this year's specials starring David Tennant before forging ahead with a new era of storytelling revolving around Ncuti Gatwa's ( Sex Education ) Fourteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson ( Coronation Street ) as his companion, Ruby Sunday. Netflix has acquired the global rights outside of Norway to the hard-hitting Norwegian crime series "Gangs of Oslo" ("Blodsbrødre"), produced by Monday Scripted for Norway's largest commercial broadcaster TV 2,  Variety  has learned exclusively. "Gangs of Oslo" is one of the new Norwegian premium TV shows to be highlighted by TV 2 Norway as part of the Focus on Norway showcase at the Göteborg Film Festival's TV Drama Vision confab (Feb. 1-2).  The six-part series is created and directed by Ole Endresen, episodic director of Netflix's first Original series, "Lilyhammer," and "Young Wallander." The first season was a hit on the service and spent several weeks in the streamer's top ten charts, prompting a re-up of the FirstLook TV-produced show. Distributor Abacus Media Rights closed the deal on behalf of FirstLook, a factual indie based in the Midlands in England. The returning series will again investigate stories of those who paid the ultimate price for offending an obsessive lover. While Wednesday's winter storm is expected to pack a punch with heavy rain, strong wind gusts and some coastal flooding, snow won't be much of a factor except in northwestern New Jersey. Snowfall projections are likely to fluctuate today leading up to the storm as the track and timing could shift. That could affect when snow transitions to rain in different parts of the state, leading to higher or lower snowfall totals. Northwestern counties are expected to get up to 4 inches of snow with up to an inch likely in northeastern counties and portions of Central Jersey.
