The Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology announces its 5th Edition of Catafete 2022, a National Level Hospitality & Culinary Competition. It will be a two day event that is scheduled to commence from 21st July and will conclude on the following day, 22nd July. Maffei Kitchen, a brand new upcoming Fine Dine restaurant, has been roped in as the title sponsor of the Catafete 2022. The aim of organising the event is to push the nascent minds to spark creativity and have breakthroughs in the dynamic millennial environment when the hospitality business is undergoing numerous evolutionary changes. Additionally, Chef Ammar, the Chief Chef of the Maffei Kitchen, who has 25 years of exciting culinary experience from Lebanon, will be a member of the event's jury.
The objective of Catefete which is an annual inter-college departmental festival is to give aspiring hoteliers a place to experiment, innovate and develop. The skills needed in the main competency areas of hotel operations form the basis for the competitions. The talents of the participating students in hospitality management, food and beverage service, and culinary trade contests are put to the test. A plethora of reputable and esteemed hotel management colleges across India have registered for the event. It is reasonable to assume that frontline hospitality industry executives would be the best candidates to assess the performance of the rivals in this endeavour.
One of the title sponsors, Maffei Mission, which is an upcoming restaurant, scheduled to be launched on October 1, 2022, aims to provide an intellectual, value-driven, and distinctive experience through excellent dining and genuine Mediterranean food. By introducing a more experience-centric atmosphere and high-end, high-quality simple, yet authentic cuisine with their foreign chefs, Maffei hopes to inspire a change within the restaurant business. The brand's mission is to create a diverse menu starting at 11.30 am, seven days a week, with everything from fast coffees to bites for lunch and delectable dinners, paired with their amazing wine list and a fine selection of drinks.
Chef Ammar Molki, who will be leading the Maffei Kitchen, is also a former chef at Byblos Restaurant and has spread his culinary magic in properties throughout the Mediterranean region. He will be currently creating and spreading his culinary magic at Maffei Kitchen in the city of Bengaluru. With Lebanese and Moroccan cuisine being his specialties, he will be striving to excel in almost all realms. With his USP being superior quality and creating inventive menus with seasonal dishes inspired by historic culinary methods, Chef Ammar would be putting forth real ingredients and contemporary techniques to provide a sense of satisfaction to the people's palette.
Talking about his perspective on the event, Chef Ammar Molki stated, "In my opinion, this event will give the students a platform to develop their creative and decision-making abilities, as well as to aid them in discovering their latent talents and new areas of interest. With their eager participation in this enjoyable learning package, the participants will definitely get to learn a plethora of things. It also offers an opportunity to showcase their culinary knowledge and abilities in the areas of devising and following recipes, preparing dishes, and serving them in front of a panel of judges so they could be judged on their flavour, taste, and palatability."
Maffei Kitchen, once launched, would be providing a wide range of mouthwatering international dishes to the foodies who want to discover cuisines from all around the world.
