LITTLE BIT DAMP OR SOGGY IF YOU'RE TAKING OFF, ESPECIALLY ON THAT 80 CORRIDOR. AND YOU'LL NOTICE THAT BECAUSE WE HAD SOME SHOWERS POP UP IN THE OVERNIGHT WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING. NOW AS WE'RE GETTING CLOSER TO THE 6:00 HOUR, YOU'LL SEE THE TEMPERATURES ARE CURRENTLY IN LOWER 50S ACROSS THE VALLEY AT 50 DEGREES IN AUBURN AND 32 DEGREES WHERE WE HAVE HAD SOME SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS UP AROUND THE TRUCKEE AREA. YOU STILL HAVE THAT SOUTH WIND IN PLACE ABOUT 10 TO 13 MILES AN HOUR UP AND DOWN THE VALLEY FLOOR, UP TO 14. YOU'RE FEELING THAT BREEZE RIGHT NOW IN PLACERVILLE AND WINDS ARE UP OUT OF THE SOUTH AT 13 RIGHT NOW. OVER TRUCKEE. ALSO TRACKING THESE NARROW BANDS OF RAIN THAT HAVE JUST BEEN MOVING ACROSS PARTS OF THE 80 CORRIDOR. AND THEN JUST TO THE NORTH OF IT, AS YOU GET UP INTO THE NORTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY AND PARTS OF THE NORTHERN SIERRA, WE'VE HAD RAIN COMING DOWN IN THE AREA OF QUINCY, BUT IT'S ALL SNOW HERE AROUND THE PORT. AND THEN WE'VE HAD A COUPLE OF SHOWERS, DRIFT IN WITH SOME HEAVIER BANDS OF RAIN THERE. AS YOU GO FROM BROWNSVILLE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO LOMA RICA. SOME SHOWER ACTIVITY AS WELL FOR KNIGHTS LANDING, AND SOME OF THOSE BANDS HAVE BEEN A BIT MORE ON THE MODERATE TO HEAVIER SIDE. SACRAMENTO HAS BEEN FAIRLY QUIET, BUT JUST SOUTH OF TOWN, AS YOU'RE GOING THROUGH, LET'S SAY GALT LODI OR STOCKTON, THOSE ROADS MAY BE DAMP AS A FEW SHOWERS HAVE MOVED THROUGH. NOW THEY'RE TRACKING OFF TO THE EAST. I'LL KEEP AN EYE ON THIS BAND HERE. JUST TO THE SOUTH OF MODESTO. TRAVELING THERE OUT OF MERCED THAT BAND COULD BE GOING TOWARDS SONORA HERE. PROBABLY IN THE NEXT HALF HOUR TO 45 MINUTES LIVE. LOOK OUTSIDE IN DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO, A LAYER OF CLOUDS AND THOSE ROADS WILL BE A LITTLE SLICK FOR THE MORNING. START. THE BETTER CHANCES FOR RAIN COME INTO VIEW BEYOND NOON TODAY. SO AS YOU SEE IN THE 12 HOUR FORECAST, THE IMPACTFUL WEATHER TODAY, ESPECIALLY WITH THE CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS COMING OUR WAY EVEN BEYOND ABOUT 2:00 THIS AFTERNOON, WE STILL HAVE THIS PIECE OF ENERGY ROTATING OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST AND WILL CONTINUE JUST MOVING IN WITH MOISTURE OVERHEAD. AND IF WE GET THOSE BREAKS OF SUNSHINE, WE HAVE THAT INSTABILITY THAT BUILDS IN THE AFTERNOON. SO THERE ARE CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS TODAY. AND THAT'S ALL OF THESE AREAS HIGHLIGHTED IN THE GREEN. AGAIN, IT'S NOT A GUARANTEE THAT WE'LL GET A THUNDERSTORM. BUT I THINK THAT TODAY'S STORMS MAY PRODUCE SMALL HAIL AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. THOSE WILL BE THE BIGGEST IMPACTS FROM THESE STORMS INTO THE AFTERNOON AHEAD. THIS IS YOUR TUESDAY WITH FUTURECAST 9:00. THINGS ARE FAIRLY QUIET AS YOU'RE GETTING MAYBE KIDS OFF THE TO SCHOOL AND GETTING YOURSELF OUT THE DOOR TO THE OFFICE, BUT THEN WATCH BY THE AFTERNOON 4 OR 5 6:00 THIS EVENING, SOME OF THOSE THUNDERSTORMS DO START TO BLOSSOM. THE VALLEY, ESPECIALLY BETWEEN SACRAMENTO AND STOCKTON, MODESTO SEEING SOME OF THOSE STORMS AS WELL. AND THOSE STORMS COULD ALSO PUSH INTO THE FOOTHILLS EVEN ABOUT NINE, 10:00 THIS EVENING. SO THAT IS WHY TODAY IS STILL AN IMPACT DAY, BECAUSE WE COULD HAVE THE CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE AFTERNOON THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING. ONCE WE GET INTO THE DAYTIME ON WEDNESDAY, UH, THINGS ARE REALLY GOING TO EASE UP ACROSS THE AREA AS THAT LOW CONTINUES TO CHURN AND MOVE OFF TO THE EAST OF OUR AREA. THERE MIGHT BE A BRIEF SHOWER WEDNESDAY, AND THEN THURSDAY WE'RE DRY FOR SURE, AND WE DRY OUT FOR THE START OF THE WEEKEND, WITH MORE RAIN AHEAD FOR THE BACK HALF, KEEPING BUSY, KEEPING
