A new season of The Good Doctor is coming this fall to ABC, but unfortunately, The Good Doctor season 6 won't be coming to ABC in September 2022.

This September, ABC is taking a more unusual approach to its fall TV premiere plans — at least when compared to other broadcast networks. While most networks are looking to launch their new fall seasons the week of Sept. 19 with a premiere week filled with the returns of hit series and launches of new originals, ABC will instead be pacing itself a bit by rolling out its fall premieres across a few weeks.

While returning favorites such as Abbott Elementary, The Conners and Big Sky will be kicking off their new seasons in September, ABC will be holding several of its hit series for October including the likes of The Good Doctor, Station 19 and Grey's Anatomy. 

The Good Doctor season 6 premiere date

This year, ABC will look to kick off its Monday night programming block on Monday, Oct. 3 with a night of premieres including the season 6 premiere of The Good Doctor at 10/9c! That's right, the new season of ABC's hit medical drama will begin the first Monday of October in what promises to be quite the night of programming for ABC!

Not only will Oct. 3 bring with it the season 6 premiere of The Good Doctor, but fans can also look forward to the Monday night time slot premiere for the new season of Bachelor in Paradise.
