Mauricio Pochettino's possible re-appointment at Tottenham would not be enough to convince Harry Kane to remain at the club, according to reports.

The England captain has made clear his desire to leave Spurs in search of silverware.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to be interested in signing Kane. However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is understood to be unwilling to sell his prized asset to an English rival.

It would take a fee in excess of £150million to take Kane away from Tottenham, where he came through the academy.

That the 27-year-old earns around £200,000 per week presents a further stumbling block for interested clubs.

Spurs are now looking for a new head coach and Pochettino is a candidate, having reportedly grown unsettled in France. PSG failed to win Ligue 1 for just the second time in nine years.

Kane scored 169 goals in 242 appearances for Spurs under Pochettino but the 49-year-old's return to White Hart Lane would not be enough to convince him to stay, The Times claim.

According to the report, Kane believes the squad would still need significant investment if it is to challenge for honours.

He recently suggested that he would have regrets if he ended his career without a trophy.

"I don't want to come to the end of my career and have any regrets. I want to be the best I can be," Kane told former Man Utd defender Gary Neville on Sky Sports' Overlap programme.

"I never said I'd stay at Spurs for the rest of my career and I've never said I'd leave Spurs.

"People might say: 'he's desperate for trophies, he needs trophies', but I still feel like I've still got almost another career to play.

"I've got seven, eight years, kind of what I've already had in the Premier League. So I'm not rushing anything, I'm not desperate to do anything."

Coronavirus warning: Boris Johnson must 'stop foreign travel now' warns health expert - Express

Posted: 31 May 2021 01:03 PM PDT

The Independent SAGE member has warned Boris Johnson's Government needs to keep coronavirus cases down and close the UK border to maintain a lid on the virus. The expert has warned that despite the blistering pace of the vaccine rollout, not enough people have been fully vaccinated to prevent a surge in Covid. In order to keep the number of cases down Dr Haque called for all leisure holidays abroad to be halted and for the test and trace system to be reformed.

Dr Haque told TimesRadio: "I am sick to death of this open and close, the complete lockdown or the complete release.

"What we need for this government to do is to keep cases down.

"Frankly vaccinations is not enough right now not at the rate which we are rolling it out as much as we are rolling it out.

"It is not enough and that is because the government needs to close the borders."

The health expert continued: "We need to stop leisure foreign travel right now.

"On top of that we need to reform the test, trace, and isolation policies.

"They are frankly not fit for purpose.

"So the government at the moment are really not doing very much in that way."

He added: "There may be a false sense of security for some time, and that's our concern."

Other health experts have called for the next stage of lockdown lifting to be delayed.

Professor Christina Pagel told BBC Radio 4 last week: "If we can just delay step four of the roadmap until we have a much higher proportion of people vaccinated with two doses we are in a much much better position.

"We are only two months away from that. You know it is not long to wait.

Harry humiliated as US media turns on Duke - 'Overgrown child throwing epic tantrum!' - Express

Posted: 30 May 2021 05:04 AM PDT

Meghan Markle and Harry have found themselves once again firmly under the spotlight. In recent weeks, the pair announced a string of new business ventures, as well as appearing in several broadcast interviews. The publicity floodgates opened following their sit-down chat with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

It was here they aimed several allegations at the Royal Family including on things like mental health and racism.

More recently, Harry appeared in the podcast 'Armchair Expert', hosted by celebrity Dax Shepard.

Listeners were furious as Harry blamed his father Prince Charles' upbringing under the Queen and Prince Philip for having negatively tainted his own childhood, describing it as "genetic pain and suffering".

Not a week later he appeared in the first episode of his and Winfrey's new Apple TV+ series 'The Me You Can't see', and accused the Royal Family of "total silence and total neglect" while Meghan battled to adjust to palace life, adding that the family tried to prevent the couple from leaving.

For many, it was the last straw, including journalist Maureen Callahan, who wrote a damning column about the first episode in the New York Post.

She said: "We are watching an overgrown child throw an epic tantrum, and the point is unclear.

"Does Harry want to bring down the royal family?

"Prove he has something worth contributing? Does he even know what he wants?

The source said William was both disappointed and "greatly concerned" by Harry's latest broadside in his latest documentary with Winfrey.

While talking of Meghan, Harry also expressed concerns that the former actress would be put in a similar situation to his mother, Princess Diana.

He said he turned to heavy drinking and substance use to cope with Diana's death, adding that he feared media harassment would end in Meghan's death.

Harry said: "[Diana] was chased to her death while she was in a relationship with someone that wasn't white".

He continued: "And now look what's happened.

"You want to talk about history repeating itself.

"They're not going to stop until she dies."

Queen's 'strong desire' to get 'out and about' after lockdown and Philip's funeral - Express

Her Majesty has been forced to adopt a much lower profile during the course of the coronavirus pandemic. She also spent eight days in mourning for her late husband, Prince Philip, in April. However, the Queen is said to be focusing on stepping up her public activities as a busy summer period approaches.

"There is a strong desire from Her Majesty to get back out and about," a Palace source told the Daily Telegraph.

The Palace is expected to announce that the Queen will meet US President Joe Biden and other world leaders before the G7 summit in June.

A series of other important engagement are also thought to be in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, Palace officials are seeking to distance the Queen from the "political controversy" surrounding a proposed new £200 million national flagship.

Prime minister Boris Johnson announced earlier this year plans to commission the country's first national flagship since the Royal Yacht Britannia was decommissioned in 1997.

It will cost up to £200m and will host ministerial summits and diplomatic talks , as well as being used on royal tours.

"But how many flagships can the Royal Navy have? Is the number limitless?

"The aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth is already the fleet flagship.

"HMS Victory, in Portsmouth Dockyard, is the First Sea Lord's and, thus the ceremonial, flagship."
