The series ran on CBS for two seasons starting in 2019 and was picked up by OWN (the Oprah Winfrey Network) for a third season that began in 2022. OWN announced Tuesday that "All Rise" will end its series run with its third season. The first of its 10 remaining episodes will air at 9 p.m. Sept. 16. The 10 episodes will pick up where the third season paused in August 2022 with a midseason finale involving a chaotic takeover of the Hall of Justice. Missick anchors the series, which focuses on the personal and professional lives unfolding inside a busy Los Angeles courthouse. She plays Judge Lola Carmichael, a well-respected judicial force and former deputy district attorney who isn't afraid to be an activist on the bench. Best Thunderbolt docks 2023: Extend your laptop's capabilities | PCWorld Skip to content Image: Mark Hachman / IDG A Thunderbolt dock is now nearly a must-have accessory, providing I/O access for legacy mice, keyboards, external drives, and more. It's a key ingredient for a productive office, whether at work or home. And now there's a new upcoming wrinkle: Thunderbolt 5. Thunderbolt docks or docking stations help fill the gaps as laptop makers slim down, cut costs, and eliminate multiple ports in favor of a do-it-all Thunderbolt port instead. That may seem like they're p...

Good Omens 2 Review: Apocalyptic Amnesia - Superherohype.com

Image
As Crowley, a fallen angel who became a demon before life on earth began, David Tennant is supposed to look reptilian, with slit-eye contacts barely hidden under blackout sunglasses. Yet, he resembles nothing so much as a sort of live-action Jack Skellington, a stop-motion wireframe with the slimmest of black suits covering stick limbs always in herky-jerky motion. As his best friend (and possibly more) Aziraphale, a more benevolent angel-turned bookseller, Michael Sheen is fusty, musty, and a touch camp, like a mildly effeminate college professor who manages to enliven lectures on extremely dry topics with the tactful application of silly puns and an oversized bow tie. In the first season of Good Omens , based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, this ambiguously maybe-gay duo thwarted the apocalypse. How do you top that for a second go-around? Smaller for the Sequel Quite simply, one does not. Based on notes for a follow-up book that never happened...

Not buying a new iPhone? This flash drive will give your old one a new lease on life - ZDNet

Image
The PNY Duo Link. Adrian Kingsley-Hughes/ZDNET Apart from a worn battery and broken display, a common reason people upgrade an iPhone is that there is no more storage space. And, more often than not, what's behind all that storage consumption will be photos. But just mass-deleting photos is a bad road to go down because you're invariably going to lose sentimental photos and either be sad or get into trouble. On the flip side, sorting through photos can be a huge waste of time (although there is some excellent software that can help you sort the wheat from the chaff).  Also: What to expect from Apple's 'Wonderlust Event' So, if you don't want to delete things and you don't want to be tied to paying iCloud storage fees, a great option is to back up photos to a flash drive that will connect to both your iPhone and a computer. Enter the PNY Duo Link Lightning and USB-A flash drive .  ZDNET RECOMMENDS PNY Duo Link Bridge the gap betwee...

Best Flash Drives: Fast, Roomy USB Storage in Your Pocket - Tom's Hardware

Image
(Image credit: Tom's Hardware) Best Flash Drives USB flash drives have been ubiquitous for decades, remaining the go-to option for anyone who needs local, pocketable access to key files. Flash drives are still sold everywhere (including chain drug stores, usually at highly inflated prices), despite companies like DropBox, Google, and Microsoft making cloud storage a convenient and often free alternative (depending on capacity). For many, a flash drive that you can carry around in your pocket or on your keychain is still a better option – and faster if you don't have a speedy internet connection on every device you use. You may also need a USB flash drive to do a clean and speedy install of your favorite OS (see how to do a clean install of Windows ). Also, a good flash drive can be surprisingly tough to destroy. I've sent flash drives through laundry cycles in pants pockets in the past, and once when I was in college, I accidently drove o...
